Meet The Author

Jeremiah Daniel Sater has always loved stories, whether he was reading a hundred books a year or handwriting novels. He grew up in fantastical lands, traveling through wormholes on the backs of dragons. Now, he creates these worlds for others to explore. When Jeremiah is not forming worlds with words, he captures the natural beauty of God’s creation with his photography. He hopes his art reflects the truth told first by the original Creator.

To God be the Glory

The Story Behind The City and the Storm

Jeremiah Daniel Sater wrote The City and the Storm with ambitious goals of becoming a New York Times Best Seller. He even solidified that statement in an interview at his college. But that version of his book wouldn't be the copy sent out into the world.

In 2017, with little free time entering the workforce as a full-time photographer, Jeremiah put his book aside without any expectation of returning to it. He found a new love in photography and put off writing as a past hobby that he didn't have time for anymore.

But God wasn't done with his story, both his life and the one he'd spent years writing on paper. In 2020, the world stopped. Jeremiah's photography stopped. He found himself connecting with God in fresh ways and found fresh eyes falling upon an old novel.

Now with a rejuvenated faith, Jeremiah began to rewrite what would become The City and the Storm. He began to weave in themes that reflected his faith that would not only span this one book, but many books. He now saw his book as a place where deep discussion could take place, spanning multiple rereads.

Jeremiah was no longer writing to become a New York Times Best Seller, but he was writing to give glory to the first storyteller, the original Creator. â€‹He switched from seeking traditional publication to publishing his book himself, further putting his writing in God's hands.

He trusts God to guide his story into the world and into the hands of whoever His will decides.
